GATE ONE — THE TEA OF THE BREATH

STRIKE

Before the wound speaks—
before the mind tightens—
before the body learns fear—

there is breath.

RESONANCE

The first medicine
was never swallowed.

It was breathed.

Steam rising
from leaf and water
has always been the bridge—

between body
and remembering.

Before language,
before diagnosis,
before systems named the body—

there was rhythm.

Inhale.
Exhale.

And within that—

return.

PARABLE

THE BOY AND THE STEAM

There was a boy
who learned silence early.

Not the kind
that brings peace—

the kind
that holds everything in.

Years passed.

The body adapted.

Tension became normal.
Breath became shallow.
Stillness became guarded.

One day—

an elder placed
a bowl before him.

Inside:

mullein
thyme
eucalyptus
mint

Steam rose quietly.

“Do not drink,” she said.

“Just breathe.”

At first—nothing.

Then slowly—

something shifted.

The breath deepened
without effort.

The chest softened
without instruction.

And something older
than thought returned.

Not learned.

Remembered.

SCROLL

Let this be the first gate.

Not ingestion—

but inhalation.

Not control—

but allowing.

Prepare the steam with:

  • mullein (lung opening)
  • thyme (clearing)
  • eucalyptus (expansion)
  • peppermint (cooling clarity)
  • holy basil (nervous system balance)

Bring water to heat.

Let the herbs open.

Place yourself above the steam.

And breathe.

Not deeply at first.

Just honestly.

Let the body decide
when to open.

Let the rhythm return
without force.

This is not treatment.

This is remembering.

The body does not need to be told
how to breathe.

It only needs space
to do it again.

FLAMEWALKER TRUTH

The first healing
is not something you take.

It is something
you stop interrupting.

And when breath returns—

the body follows.

The Space

Not a storefront.

Not a schedule.

Just something you return to

when it calls you back.
