Not everyone deserves your explanation.
Some people only want your energy.
They quote “turn the other cheek” as if it means “remain available forever.”
But there are also teachings about withdrawal, discernment, and stewardship.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs… do not throw your pearls before swine.”
That is not hatred.
It is recognition.
Pearls form through pressure and irritation.
Meaning: wisdom earned through experience carries value.
If someone repeatedly treats what is sincere as spectacle, mockery, or ammunition,
continued offering does not create understanding.
It creates waste.
Sometimes the wise response is withdrawal.
Not to punish—
but to preserve.
A diver brought pearls to the marketplace.
One buyer held each pearl to the light, examined it carefully, and exchanged fairly.
Another buyer laughed, threw the pearls into the mud, and called them worthless stones.
Still, the diver kept returning, hoping the mockery would change.
One day, the buyer crushed a pearl beneath his heel simply because he could.
So the diver stopped returning to that stall.
He did not stop gathering pearls.
He stopped placing them where contempt had already declared itself.
Discernment is not bitterness.
Not every conversation is an exchange in good faith.
When someone is committed to distortion, mockery, or misuse,
constant explanation does not produce clarity.
It feeds contempt.
Boundaries are not always rejection.
Sometimes they are stewardship.
Attention, energy, and truth are finite resources.
Where they are placed matters.
Withdrawal is not vengeance.
It is recognition that not every field is prepared to receive what is being offered.
Stop treating contempt like misunderstanding.
Not everyone who rejects the pearl is confused.
Some simply do not value it.

The Space
Not a storefront.
Not a schedule.
Just something you return to
when it calls you back.
